Pismo Creek Birding, Pismo Beach, CA - return to Los Osos Birding

There is no single road that runs along Pismo Creek... so we visited the creek at 3 separate points.

(1) For the best birding, start at the creek mouth. We parked at MARY HERRINGTON PARK(see below) and crossed the creek twice on pedestrian bridges. We continued on Addie St past sand dunes to the beach.
*There is a 3rd pedestrian bridge right alongside the 101 freeway...

(2) Next we drove into the hills to PRICE HISTORICAL PARK. *Juan Bautista de Anza Trail follows the creek and next time we may try it!

(3) Finally, the BELLO ST BRIDGE(S)! A modern bridge has replaced the old car bridge. The Train Bridge remains partially hidden by the overgrown trees. Follow the train tracks to this bridge. Both cross over Pismo Creek.
